FAA: Airplanes should stay far away from SpaceX’s next Starship launch

Following two consecutive failures earlier this year, the Federal Aviation Administration gave SpaceX the Green Light Thursday to launch the next test flight of its starch mega rocket with next week.

The failures returned the Space X -starchy program for several months. The company aims to re -establish rocket growth with the ninth full scale test flight of the Starsh after its launch in April 2023. Starship is the focus of the long -term desire to send humans to Mars, and NASA has selected astronauts on the moon under the government’s Artemis program.

In a statement on Thursday, the FAA said Space X has the option to launch the next starchy test flight, known as Flight 9, “meets strict safety, environmental and other licenses after finding the company.”

Investigators decided that the reason for the January failure was a series of fuel leakage and fire in the ship’s AFT basket. SpaceX said before the recent flight of the Starshap in March that the leakage was mostly active by vibrations that were more severe than expected. Space X has not announced the cause of the March failure, though the situation was similar to the January accident.
