Like the old version, Fredos Installer is available in numerous formats based on which you are installing such a system. For any “modern” PC (where “modern” covers anything that is shipped since the turn of Hazaria), ISO and USB installers are available to make bootable CDs, DVDs, or USB drives. The Fredos Vintage System is also available as a completely separate “floppy edition” that fits 720KB, 1.44MB, or 1.2MB 5.25 and 3.5 -inch floppy disks. This edition “has a limited set of Fredos programs that is more useful to the classic PC hardware” and, space protection, contains no Fredos source code.
The standard install image includes all the files and utilities you need to install the workplace Fredos, and also downloads a separate “Bonus CD” for those who want development tools, Opangium graphical interfaceAnd other tools.
