The Federal Trade Commission is moving forward to push the trial set back to determine Amazon cheated on users to sign up for prime Subscripts

At a hearing on Wednesday, the FTC officially asked US District Judge John Chen to delay the trial. According to FTC lawyer, Jonathan Cohen, the agency needs two months to prepare ahead of the early September 22, which has been accused of the recent “staff and budget shortage” by the Trump administration’s government’s performance (Dage), CNBC. Notified.

Cohen explained, “We have lost employees in the agency, in our division, and in our case team.” Reported. Bloomberg reports, Cohen told Chen that the FTC has been stuck with a $ 1 cap on any government credit card compensation and “Wednesday’s hearing is unable to buy this transcript.”

Cohen told Chen that further threatening to end the agency’s trial, the FTC expects to move to another office “unexpectedly” to another office.

Amazon does not agree that delay is necessary. “There has been no exhibition on the call that the government does not have the resources to be tried with the date of the trial,” John Hestton, a lawyer for e -commerce giant, told Chen.
