Google will stop supporting early Nest thermostats on October 25

Google Announced this week Starting on October 25, it will not support or release software updates for the thermostatis of the first and second -generation nests. And it will completely shut down launching new nests in Europe.

This means that the owners of the nesting thermostatis, which were released in 2011 and 2012, will not be updated by the European (issued version in Europe in 2014), and their devices will no longer be contributed to nest and domestic apps. However, they will be able to adjust direct temperatures and schedules on their devices.

“To invest fully [future] Google said, “Bring the most important features on our latest generation of development and nesting thermostas, we will go away from supporting our three oldest devices, over every decade,” Google said.

As far as it will no longer launch nest thermostis in Europe, the company added, “The heating system in Europe is unique and has various hardware and software requirements that make it difficult to build for a diverse set of homes.” Current nest devices will still be sold in Europe, while supply is last.
