LlamaIndex launches a cloud service for building unstructed data agents

Posted on March 4, 2025

Agent The next thing in AI is the big thing. Some describe these “agents” in a different way, but the general idea is that they are AI -powered tools that can be done autonomous.

The agent has reached the pitch of hype fever, but a starting game was relatively early early: llamainDex. Established Former research scientists, Jerry Liu and Simon Suu, in 2023, allow the Lymin Dax developers to build more customs agents than non -imposed data.

“Lemandex began in November 2022 as a toy open source project,” Liu told Tech Crunch. “I was deeply interested in understanding how the larger language model (LLM) can be used in the upper part of their training set out of their training set, and the first set of tolls is developed.

Using the open source software of the Lilamin Dex, which has developed millions on the gut hub, can create developer customs agents that can extract information, generate reports and insights, and take specific steps. LlamainDex provides data connector and utilities such as Llamaparase, which converts non -imposed data into a structural format that can be used for special AI applications.

Although there are other open source framework for the construction of AI agents, Lamin Dax is distinguished by its data insurance, data management, and data indexing and recovery solutions, Liu said. It can connect data from files like PDF and PowerPoint presentations, as well as apps such as concept and silic, with an agent.

Liu said salesfor, KPMG, and Carlyle are now among the companies using Lamin Dex.

“All these competitive solutions resolve specific problems in different parts of the Generative AI stack, but then it is the developer’s responsibility to combine a scattered solution to create a working agent.” “This is an important pain point that hinders the production of shipping agents. Lemandex made our mission to supply a highly secure, accurate, and easy platform to build knowledge agents from the end.

The next chapter of Lamandex is an enterprise service made at the top of the company’s open source offer. Called Llamacloud, it allows users to create a cloud hosted agent who can work with un -formal data in various forms and manipulate them.

Lamaclade said Lamaclade could be deployed through a service installation or virtual private cloud as a software, and comes with features, including roll -based access control and single sign on.

To help fund the development of Lilamaclade, Limandex recently collected $ 19 million in a series of funds rounded by Norwest Venture Partners, and also participated in Gerilok. The total funding of the new cash Lemandex has been raised to $ 27.5 million, and Liu says it will be used to expand the team of 20 people from Lamandex and develop products.

“We have enough runway to take us through the initial trade expansion of our platform,” said Liu. “We are betting on a future where developers play a major role in providing livelihood applications within the enterprise.”
