For new research, CDC researchers considered the rates of hospitals and medical centers (known as RSV-net and NVSN) to RSV Hospital in two different RSV surveillance networks. He compared the rates of entering the Networks Hospital in the 2024–2025 RSV season to his respective rates in pre -birth seasons between 2018 and 2020. Analysis has shown that in newborns (0-2 months), RSV hospitals rose to RSV-NET 52 % and NVSN 45 % compared to 2018 —2020 rates 45 %. However, when the researcher excluded the NVSN monitoring site data in Houston – where the vaccine and treatment began before 2024:2035 RSV season – the hospital in NVSN had a 71 % reduction.

For a wider group of children–0 to 7 months of RSV Net showed a 43 % decline in hospitals in the RSV season of 2024-155, and NVSN saw a 28 % reduction. Once again, when Houston was excluded from NVSN data, it decreased by 56 %.

Finally, researchers looked at the hospital for children and children up to 5 years, which are not saved by new products. There, they found that the rates of entering the RSV hospital were actually higher in the 2024-15 season compared to the years that RSV Hospital was admitted. This suggests that the latest RSV season was too severe, and the drops entering children’s hospitals could be less considered.
