Something angry appeared in April When the US Army announced That he will ask Space X to start his missions during the next phase of national security, and change its important role that the ULA has held for the past two decades.

Ola retired her Delta IV heavy rocket in April 2024, and a handful of Atlas V rocket that remains are determined to other missions. It has left the Air Force relying on Space X, with its Falcon 9 and Falcon heavy vehicles, as its most expensive and high preferred satellite can be obtained in orbit as a launch services provider.

ULA should “repair confidence”

In his testimony, Pardi said that Ola had completed the initial variety of Volkin rockets for military launches from Florida’s Cape Canvar on March 25, but added that “open work” was still pending. The military and the company are currently working through “Plans to Reduce Risk” to limit the possibility of a problem with the first launch of military pay loads on Wilkan.

“To address these challenges, ULA has increased its engineering resources and administrative attention to solve design issues,” Pardi wrote. “Government and federal financing research and development center officials have increased technical and program management challenges.

Pardi wrote, Wilkan’s first military mission, USSF -106, is currently ranked first before the July 2025 launch date. One or two weeks before the launch, these residual risks will ultimately be assessed during the flight Radian Review.

At the end of his written testimony, Pardi emphasized that he expects Ula to perform better. As a part of his job as a Space for Space, Pardi noted that he had been entrusted with the task of changing the acquisition of space and becoming more modern.

“For these programs, the basic contractors have to re -establish baselines, establish accountability culture, and repair the trust deficit in order to prove that they are adopting the principles of acquisitions necessary to provide speed, price and schedule.”
