The company says Google -fired cars, watches, headphones, and other devices that use assistants will get updates that move them to Gemini. It is unclear whether all the assistant -driven gadgets will be part of the migration. Most of these devices are connected to your phone, so the update should be relatively straightened, even for the accessories that begin in the early assistant era.
There are also many standstone devices that run the assistant, such as TV and smart speaker. Google says it is working on the latest gymnasium experiences for these devices. For example, Google Nest is a Gemini preview program to select the speaker. It is unclear whether all these devices will get an update. Google says there will be more details about it in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Gemini still has some land. There are basic features that work well in the assistant, such as timers and alarms, which can go along with Gemini. On the other hand, the assistant was a fair part of his problems and he did not win a lot of fans at all. Regardless, this transition can be at risk for Google as it improves how people interact with their devices.
